Whether you are a fan, an artist or within the dance music industry. You have to experience Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) at least once in your lifetime.
I attended Amsterdam Dance Event for the first time in 2017 and it was one of the best professional and fan experiences of dance music that I have encountered. I visit Amsterdam a couple times per year but visiting Amsterdam during ADE was different. The atmosphere had changed during the popular dance music conference. Black and yellow ADE flags lined the historic streets as the festivities energized Amsterdam with DJ's taking over the city for 5 days of festivals, talks, meetings, masterclasses + more. The Amsterdam Dance Event program always has an extensive amount of things to do, whether you're attending ADE for the parties or business.
A Dream for Dance Music Fans
ADE might be only place in the world that provides fans with multiple opportunities to interact/talk and watch your favourite artist/DJ perform in one week. Some DJ's will play 3 or 4 times during ADE at various parties. Every night during Amsterdam Dance Event there are dozens of parties to choose from a wide variety of dance music genres. From the most intimate clubs to the massive Amsterdam ArenA that hosts Amsterdam Music Festival. Each venue is uniquely Dutch and will provide a special experience for all.
Sometimes it can be difficult to find people who also share the same passion for dance music. In Amsterdam, it will feel like a utopia with thousands of people sharing the same love of music as you. It's the sense of unity that makes dance music distinct with people from around the world finding common ground in music.
Beyond the DJ booth, you will find events like a masterclass, studio session, artist panel or Q&A to learn more about your favourite artist. A masterclass/studio session provides a glimpse into the musical genius and production behind your favourite tracks explained in 1 hour. The national/local media shifts coverage to DJs during ADE. Interviews with DJ's can be found on daytime and late-night programs profiling the prolific Dutch superstar DJ's.
Watch history before your eyes with exclusive performances. On Friday, Markus Schulz performed another marathon Open to Close set at Melkweg. At Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF), crowds witnessed Armin van Buuren & Hardwell perform a back-to-back (B2B) set as II=I. Also during AMF, Martin Garrix was named the #1 DJ by DJ Mag for the 2nd consecutive year.
Productive Meetings for Professionals
Attending ADE for business can be very lucrative with industry networking opportunities spanning the globe, all centrally located in Amsterdam for 5 days. Prior to the conference, professionals have access to the ADE Delegate Database. In the database, you will find contact information from all delegates attending ADE. The convenient platform is the perfect tool for arranging meetings before you arrive in Amsterdam. In the dedicated ADE venues for networking, there are panels and industry talks on various topics.
Amsterdam Dance Event had 395,000 visitors in 2017. Will you be one of them in 2018?
